Camping at Devil's Lake June 2016

This week, June 13-17, 2016 the boys and I went camping at Devil's Lake State Park in Baraboo, Wisconsin.  Here's the photos.  Enjoy!

Our pop up canopy used to provide some shade.  We didn't have any trees on our site.

Joel came and met us for dinner.

Tuesday mom and dad came to visit with us for the day.  Here we are hiking the West Bluff Trail.

A much needed break on this very steep climb.

Aunt Teri called while we were on the trail and asked if she and Becky, her daughter, could come spend the day!  Here everyone is playing bocce ball.

Wednesday we went to the beach.

We met a delightful family.  Anne, the mom, and I have so much in common!  It was a fun trip!
We briefly discussed trying to camp at the same time next year.  Wouldn't that be fun?

Playing the game, Pit.

Fun with glow sticks!

Thursday we hiked the East Bluff Trail and the East Woods Trail.

#2 (and #3) bought their own hiking sticks!

Taking a rest.

We met a wonderful family and shared a fire, snacks and fun!  When we left for  a hike, they left this behind for us!

Sophie came to visit us!

International Crane Foundation

#3 had his end of the school year field trip today.  I took the day off and went with him to the International Crane Foundation in Baraboo, Wisconsin.  It was an extremely chilly day.  #3 didn't bring his sweatshirt.  I gave him my jacket and I bought a long sleeve T-shirt at the gift shop (for way too much money!)  A lot of the kids didn't have sweatshirts or jackets.

This is for a new pen pal in Russia!  I received his letter on Saturday and it was quite a surprise!  I had forgotten that I gave out my address (:

End of the year gift

Phenomenal art work by my friend.

My BFF at work made this "pocket envelop" art for me.  Yes, she drew the picture!

Here's a picture she made for me.

I have been enjoying decorating envelopes.  Here are some that I have done recently.
